Undersheriff warns of possible flooding with heavy rainfall

Ponca City Now - March 6, 2018 9:10 am

Kay County Undersheriff Sean Grigsba reminds county citizens that the spring rains are just around the corner.

“As many of you know, we have many creeks and rivers here in Kay County that can be very dangerous with heavy rainfall,” Grigsba said. “We also want to remind you that flash floods and flooded roadways take several lives each year across the United States. When people drive into water that is swift and unpredictable, it places the rescuers in harm’s way as well.

“Drive safe and have a great day!”
