The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a personal injury collision occurred about 3:19 p.m. Friday on US177 and 32nd Street, about 1 mile south of Stillwater, OK in Payne County.

The patrol said the accident involved a 2011 Hyundai, driven by Kaylee Elizabeth Evans, 18, of Carney, OK. Evans was transported by personal vehicle to Stillwater Medical Center, where she was treated and released.

The second vehicle involved was a 2007 Toyota driven by 17 year old female whose name has been withheld, of Perkins, OK. She was not injured.

A passenger in the second vehicle vehicle, Makayla Jones, 18, of Carney, OK was also not injured.

A second passenger in this vehicle, Cheyenne Kauley (SIC), 18, of Tryon, OK was transported by LifeNet to Stillwater Medical Center, where she was admitted in good condition with trunk internal injuries.

The Highway Patrol’s report stated Evans’s vehicle was attempting to turn northbound onto US177 from Tractor Supply. The second vehicle was travelling southbound on US177 in the outside lane. A separate vehicle was travelling southbound on US177 turning into Tractor Supply. Evans could not see the second vehicle due to the separate vehicle blocking the view. Evans’ vehicle pulled in front of the second vehicle, and was struck on the driver side door. Evans was pinned for approximately 20 minutes being freed by Stillwater Fire Department using hydraulic tools. Seatbelts were equipped and in use in both vehicles. Airbags were equipped and deployed in both vehicles. The report notes that the condition of both drivers was apparently normal. The cause of the collision is attributed to an improper turn.
