Weather forces changes in basketball playoff schedules

Ponca City  High School Athletic Director Jared Freeman announced Thursday morning that, due to inclement weather, all Class B-A Area Basketball Tournaments and all Class 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A Regional tournaments have been postponed.

The schedule for the tournaments will be as follows:

Class B-A Area Tournaments:

All games scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 22, will be played on Friday, Feb. 23. Games times on Friday are 3:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. There will only be one session.

All games originally scheduled for Friday, Feb. 23, will be played on Saturday, Feb. 24. Games times on Saturday are 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. There will be two sessions.

All games originally scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 24, will be played on Monday, Feb. 26. Games times on Monday are 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Class 2A, 3A and 4A Regional Tournaments:

All games scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 22 will be played on Friday, Feb. 23. Games times on Friday are 3:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. There will only be one session.

To All Administrators and Basketball Coaches:

All games originally scheduled for Friday Feb. 23, will be played on Saturday, Feb. 24. Games times on Saturday are 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. There will be two sessions.

All games originally scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 24, will be played on Monday, Feb. 26. Games times on Monday are 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Class 5A-6A Regional Tournaments:

All games scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 22 will be played on Friday, Feb. 23. Games times on Friday are 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

All games originally scheduled for Friday Feb. 23, will be played on Saturday, Feb. 24. Games times on Saturday are 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

All games originally scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 24, will be played on Monday, Feb. 26. Games times on Monday 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. for sites with two games; 7 p.m. for sites with only one game.
