A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Kay County until midnight tonight.

Ponca City Emergency Services Director Paula Cain said forecasters expect freezing rain and sleet sometime after 2 p.m.

Impact on power lines is not expected, but driving conditions could be rough, Cain said.

“Make sure you really need to go before you jump in the car,” she said.

She added temperatures should be close to 60° on Saturday.
