A 33-year-old Oklahoma City woman was injured in an accident on Interstate 35 about 8:40 p.m. Thursday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

Nora Ruth Arroyo was driving a 2000 Volvo S70 northbound on I-35 about .6 miles north of mile marker 189, north of Perry in Noble County.

Arroyo was transported by Perry Fire Department to Perry Memorial Hospital, then by MediFlight to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was admitted there in critical condition with head and trunk internal injuries.

Her vehicle was northbound when it departed the roadway to the left, over-corrected, went into a broad slide and departed the roadway to the left. The vehicle rolled an unknown number of times, coming to rest on its top.

The Highway Patrol said the accident remains under investigation.
