Roles Reverse At Ponca City Art Center

Roles are reversing at the Ponca City Art Center.

Teachers artworks are going to be to be shown off instead of the students.

A reception yesterday kicked-off a nearly month long presentation of current and past instructors.

Jerry Cathey, Art Center director said the exhibitors deserve recognition.

“We wanted to honor those in the past who have been so dedicated to helping promote the art center and keeping it viable in the community,” Cathey said.

The exhibit will run until Nov. 24.

There will be photography, jewelry, water color and much more.

Along with the gallery Maxine Warren, a former teacher’s art will be on sale in the gift shop.

Warren is in a nursing home, so her daughter donated a lot of her prints to benefit Habitat For Humanity and The Art Center.

They sale for up to $35.

All the art in the exhibit will be for sale as well, starting as low as $90.
