Ricky Eugene Mooring
(October 15, 1958 – January 25, 2018)
Ricky Eugene Mooring of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Thursday afternoon, January 25, 2018, in the Integris Bass Baptist Medical Center in Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 59 years.
Ricky Eugene Mooring was born on October 15, 1958, in Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Shirley Jean Stephens and Charlie. As a young boy he moved with his family to Blackwell where he grew up and graduated from Blackwell High School. Following his education he began working in the oilfields in Oklahoma and Alaska. He later worked for Blackwell Trucking before working for the C.F. M. Corporation in Blackwell until his retirement. He married Joann Ingmire in Blackwell. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. He was a gifted artist who enjoyed dirt bikes and spur of the moment road trips. He loved being with this son, Nathaniel, and nephews and nieces, teaching them life lessons they will never forget.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Stephens of Blackwell; a son, Nathaniel Ingmire of Tonkawa; two sisters, Lennis Ailey and husband Bob of Ponca City, and Becky Martin and husband Glen of Soldotna, Alaska; two brothers, Sidney Mooring of Tulsa, and Jimmy Mooring of Ponca City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Stephens; his grandparents, Fred and Wilda Mayse; and a niece, Whitney Murray.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 29th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with Rev. Kevin Bookout of the First Free Will Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Greg Harris, Jason Murray, Jimmy Mooring Jr., Matthew Mooring, Brice Murray, Jourdyn Mooring, Roudie Broce and Ralph Gummow.
In lieu of flowers, the Ricky Mooring Memorial Fund has been established in his honor at RCB Bank.
