Auditions Feb. 4 for ‘Little Mermaid, Jr.’

Auditions for The Evans Children’s Academy of the Performing Arts’ production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid, Jr.” will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, at The Poncan Theatre.

Director Eddie Dixon will hold auditions for this fun musical play for our local aspiring performers (ages 8 to 18).

Sign up for your 4 minute audition time on the Evans Facebook page in the comments section of the audition poster. (click here). First come, first served.

Prepare a 2-minute cut of a Disney or similar song with accompaniment (please, no songs from Little Mermaid). All auditions must be accompanied with a track or piano. CD’s, iPods and most phones can be used to play the accompaniment.

Call back auditions will be held on Feb. 11; rehearsals will begin Feb. 26. The practice schedule will be announced.

Performances for “The Little Mermaid, Jr.,” will be April 20, 21 and 22.
