Horseback riders invited to camp before Ultimate Eagle Watch

The Kaw Lake Association’s 2018 Ultimate Eagle Watch by Horseback begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at Sarge Creek Cove.

Pack your sack lunch for the ride. Coffee will be available for riders Saturday morning. Come a little early to socialize.

Riders are welcome to camp Jan. 19 and 20. Campsites are $10 per night. Reservations are not taken. Loop A and Group Camp are available. Pay camp fee in the box next to the gate. All sites have electricity. There is no water in the winter at sites, although a hydrant is available to fill tanks.

From Shidler, go west on Highway 11. From the west, go east from the highway 77/11 interchange through Kaw City.

Ride donations help the Kaw Lake Association fulfill its mission to promote tourism and economic development of north central Oklahoma and south central Kansas.
