King celebration to mark 50th year since assassination

This year’s celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Day marks the 50th year anniversary of his assassination.

A program honoring king will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Attucks Community Center.

An Interfaith Prayer Breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, also at the Attucks Community Center.

The theme is “The Color of Unity.”

Both events are free and open to the public
