A bridge replacement project on Hubbard Road, west of Waverly Street, will close Hubbard Road for up to six months, beginning Jan. 9.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has contracted with Bridgeco Construction of Wellston, Oklahoma, to replace two structurally deficient bridges spanning Bois D’Arc and Kildare Creeks on Hubbard Road, 3/10 of a mile west of Waverly.

Additionally, the $1.5 million project will raise the elevation of the bridges and roadway approaches to reduce the likelihood of roadway flooding.

Traffic control signs are scheduled to be installed on Jan. 8 and the actual construction work is scheduled to begin Jan. 9.  During construction, Hubbard Road traffic will be detoured around the work site using S Street, Highland Avenue, and Waverly Street.

Questions may be directed to Mike Lane, Traffic Engineering Manager, at (580) 767-0327.
