Two injured in Osage County accident

Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident at 4:39 p.m. Thursday in Osage County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

The accident occured on State Highway 11, 268 feet east of County Road 2331 (a half mile south and two miles east of Barnsdall in Osage County).

Corey W. Stallings, 42, of Heavener, Oklahoma, was driving a 1998 Kenworth Semi. He was transported by Life Flight to St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa, where he was admitted in stable condition with trunk injuries,  the Patrol said.

A passenger, Jimmy W. Stallings, 62, of Heavener, was transported by Bartlesville EMS to Jane Phillips Hospital. He was treated and released, according to the Patrol.

According to the Patrol’s report, the semi was westbound on SH 11, negotiating a curve to the left. It departed the  roadway to the right and overturned a half turn. The cab separated from the frame before coming to rest.  Stallings  was pinned for about an hour and extricated by Barnsdall Fire Department using Hurst Tools.
