Alabama gets nod for playoff

The Associated Press - December 4, 2017 9:09 am

Another all-SEC championship game could be on the horizon, and for the second straight year, the value of a conference title was diminished.

Alabama got the nod over Ohio State and will play Clemson in the College Football Playoff on Jan. 1.

Oklahoma and Georgia will meet in the other semifinal on New Year’s Day.

Alabama didn’t even win its division in returning to the playoff.
