Godberson takes County Commission seat

In unofficial results, Republican Jack Godberson took 65.14 percent of the vote in the Kay County District 1 Commissioner race.

Democrat John Leven took 34.86 percent of the votes cast in the race.

Results remain unofficial until they are certified on Friday.

A total of 895 votes were cast in the race, which was a special election to fill the position left vacant after the death of Commissioner Vance Johnson.
