Utility Authority approves purchase of landfill compactor

The Trustees of the Ponca City Utility Authority on Monday approved  the purchase of a landfill compactor.

The compactor will be purchased from Yellow House Machinery Co. of Enid and will cost $557,792, according to the contract.

The compactor was included in the capital budget for the landfill for this fiscal year.

Hong Fu, the Environmental Services Director, said the compactor should be delivered in eight weeks. Yellow House Machinery Co. will buy back the city’s current machine for $102,000, she said.
