Northern Oklahoma College wishes to warn fans about fake or scam social media pages and posts claiming affiliation with NOC or the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Many colleges across the country, including NOC, have been “tagged” in fraudulent events to acquire credit card information from fans in exchange for access to livestreams of athletic events.
These fake accounts have targeted NOC Social Media accounts by tagging events and asking to co-sponsor fake events. Scammers also post information in the comments section of NOC’s social media posts. The scammers use NJCAA logos, or graphics that resemble the logo, to obtain credit card information. Northern employees try to delete these comments and ban the users, but if you see one before we do, or one that’s been missed please help us in reporting these users.
NOC encourages fans not to give out any credit card or financial information to these pages and to report and block the fake pages and accounts.
Remember all NOC Livestream events are free and do not require the user to provide any personal information.
