Earl Thompson Isenberg

April 6, 1931 – November 10, 2017

Earl Thompson Isenberg passed away Friday, November 10, 2017. A ceremony to gratefully remember his life will be held at 2pm Monday, November 13, 2017, at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel in Ponca City, Oklahoma, with Minister Don Huddleston officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, in Ponca City.

Earl was born on April 6, 1931, to Hardy and Lena May Isenberg in Lincoln Park, Michigan. He graduated from Lincoln Park High School, and after graduation honorably served in the United States Air Force, stationed in Okinawa, Japan. After his miliatry service, he married the only love of his life, Jessel Marie Hogan in Cave City, Kentucky on April 25, 1956. They settled in Melvindale, Michigan, where he worked for Scott Paper Company, in Detroit, Michigan, as a millwright for 28 years, and later worked for 13 years at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. Together they had three wonderful sons. In his free time, Earl was an avid bowler and golfer. He enjoyed visiting and caring for people, serving as a Christian example to all. He loved and served the Lord as a deacon, elder and bible school teacher at Alan Park Church of Christ, in Michigan, and at Grand Avenue Church of Christ, and Hartford Avenue Church of Christ, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was a beloved son, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew, father-in-law, and friend to everyone.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents, Hardy and Lena Isenberg, and two sisters, Mary Wolan, and Evelyn Klish.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jessel Isenberg, and his three cherished sons, Bob Isenberg and wife Pam of Wichita, Kansas, Dan Isenberg of Chino Valley, Arizona, Jim Isenberg and his wife Devina of Chino Valley, Arizona, three granddaughters, Megan Brumley and her husband Todd, of Wichita, Kansas, Mia Wilczek and her husband Patrick of Wichita, Kansas, and Taylor Isenberg of Rochester Hills, Michigan, his brother Moe Isenberg and wife Carol of North Carolina, and his sister Geri Jaskiewicz of Michigan, along with many dear nieces and nephews, who loved Uncle Earl “Mann.”
