Miss Oklahoma to speak at NOC on Thursday

Miss Oklahoma, Triana Browne, will speak in the Northern Oklahoma College Cultural Engagement Center on October 26 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Miss Browne, a multicultural woman, is an ambassador for the Chickasaw Nation.

Her platform is “Bridging the Great Cultural Divide” starting with one conversation at a time.

Browne graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2016 where she ran track.

She was born in Tulsa and graduated from Starr’s Mill High School in Fayetteville, Georgia.

Browne has traveled the state as Miss Oklahoma to spread the awareness of her platform and the importance of nurturing cultural compassion through “culturosity” by motivating, empowering and educating children and young adults about other cultures, initiating conversations and challenging intolerance respectfully.

The CEC is located in the Vineyard Library Administration Building.
