One man was injured in rollover accident on U.S. 81 one mile south of the Kansas/Oklahoma border near Renfro in Grant County on Tuesday evening.

According to the Enid News & Eagle, Robert Leroy Dauer, 70, of Marquette, Ks., was driving a 2001 Peterbilt semi northbound on U.S. 81 when he approached a curve in the road too fast, causing the weight of his load to shift and the truck to roll a quarter time. The truck slid approximately 421 feet before coming to rest on the passenger side, facing west across the highway, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Dauer was then transported to the hospital in nearby Caldwell, Ks. before being sent to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Ks. where he was admitted in stable condition with internal trunk and head injuries.
