Carol Ann Burk of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died peacefully Thursday, October 19, 2017, at A.M.G. Specialty Hospital in Edmond at the age of 63 years.

Carol Ann Burk was born on November 5th, 1953, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Carl and Viola Pemberton. She grew up and attended schools in Ponca City and Blackwell. Throughout her life, she had been employed with Tonkawa Truck Stop, Southwest Cupid, EZ Mart, Ronny’s Westbury Market, Blue Moon Restaurant, and later retired from Wal-Mart. She enjoyed bingo, camping, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Travis Denning of Newkirk; one daughter, Becky Wickham of Tonkawa; brothers, Alvin Pemberton of Yukon, and Pete Miller of Blackwell; six grandchildren, Sarah Denning of Comanche, Brady Denning of Newkirk, Brandon Hillhouse of Ponca City, Kayla Hillhouse of Ponca City, Hunter Bowman of Great Bend, Kansas, and Jacob Brewer of Ponca City; three great-grandchildren, one niece, and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kevin Burk; sister, Nancy Senseman; brother, Dewayne Miller; and grandson Ethan Spann.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 25th at the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell, Oklahoma with Rev. Cap McIlnay officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Michael Johnson, Tom White, Jeff Mazurier, Brandon Hillhouse, and Trenten Anderson.

A memorial has been established in her honor with the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
