OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – A 25-foot-tall steel and aluminum sphere sculpture is being dedicated in Oklahoma City on Friday.
The public is invited to attend the 3 p.m. dedication of the sculpture, called Compass Rose, in the Boathouse District.
New York-based artist Owen Morrel created the sculpture, which is an artistic representation of a compass.
The dedication coincides with the Oklahoma Regatta Festival, a five-day event along the Oklahoma River featuring rowing, kayaking and other events.
