The Blackwell Journal Tribune released information on Wednesday stating that the Oklahoma Department of Transportation is set to repave Main Street from Chrysler avenue to Adobe Road (3 miles) starting Monday.

The $2.5 million project includes a full resurfacing of Main Street and is expected to be finished in the fall. The project will be lead by Evans & Associates of Ponca City.  Blackwell drivers are likely to face narrow lanes and even lane closures, so they should use caution. Especially in the downtown area and around the high school.

ODOT is working on Main Street in Blackwell since it is also U.S. 177.
