Last weekend for ‘Crimes of the Heart’ at Ponca Playhouse

Beverly Bryant - September 21, 2017 3:11 pm

Show times for “Crimes of the Heart,” now playing at the Ponca Playhouse, are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.

This tragicomedy is directed by Ruslyn Hermanson.

Three sisters gather in Mississippi as their grandfather is dying.  Each sister longs to escape her past – Lenny’s diminishing marital prospects, Meg’s failed singing career, and Babe’s criminal record.  As the sisters face these troubles, they are by turns helped and hindered by their self-righteous cousin and a lawyer who helplessly falls for Babe.  A touching and hilarious story of a troubled family searching for a better future.

The cast includes Taryn Pruett as Lenny; Melanie Wood as Meg; Madison Kimbrel as Babe; Morgan Ham as Chick; David Moore as Barnette; and Mark Thornton as Doc.

For tickets, visit the Playhouse at First  Street and Oklahoma Avenue, call (580) 765-5360 or go online at http://poncaplayhouse.weebly.com/
