Cherokee Strip Cook-Off Saturday; drive-through tickets available

The Cherokee Strip BBQ & Chili Cook-Off is this Saturday, Sept. 16, at Lake Ponca. Come out and enjoy some great food and help a great cause!
All proceeds from this event, hosted by the women of Professionals Today, benefit Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, Chairwoman Robyn Ryan said. Tasting begins at 12:30 p.m. and lasts until 2:30 p.m. —  or until the food runs out.
Tasting kit tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the event. They are available at Eastman National Bank, RCB Bank, First National Bank of Oklahoma and the Cherokee Strip Credit Union, as well as at Hospice of North Central Oklahoma and the Ponca City Area Chamber of Commerce.
Tickets are also available in Tonkawa at First National Bank of Oklahoma, in Newkirk at Eastman National Bank and in Blackwell at RCB Bank.
New this year! Drive-through ticket sales will be held at the Pioneer Woman Statue Circle on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m. You don’t even have to get out of your car to get your tickets!
