Rose Marie Cuellar

July 10, 1930 – September 11, 2017

Rose Marie Lieb Cuellar passed away on September 11, 2017 in Tulsa, OK. She was 87 years old. She was born on July 10, 1930 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Henry Irving Lieb and Josephine Doris NoEar Lieb. Rose had a passion for traveling. She enjoyed attending tribal events especially pow wows. She liked to dance. She worked for 32 years at the Indian Health Services for the tribal government. Her favorite color was pink and her favorite flower was the rose.

She is Survived by her daughter, Patricia Jefferson of Arizona; son, Mark Cuellar of California; several grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers, Henry, Andrew, and Curtis Lieb all of Ponca City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Lance Cuellar; and three brothers, Craig, Albert and Gilbert Lieb.

A feast will begin at noon on Thursday at the Indian Methodist Church, a giveaway will follow. The family asks that the members of the community bring their own chairs and their own dishes as is the old custom. A graveside funeral will be held at the Ponca Indian Cemetery in White Eagle at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jim White will officiate the services.
