Patricia “Patty” K. Noel

(October 31, 1940 – September 9, 2017)

Patricia K. “Patty” Noel of Ponca City, Oklahoma, died Saturday, September 9, 2017, in the Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 76 years.

Patricia K. “Patty” Noel was born on October 31, 1940, in Newkirk, Oklahoma, to Joe B. and Nora Bell (Fuller) Pierce. As a young girl she moved with her family to Blackwell where she grew up and graduated from Blackwell High School in 1958. On April 2, 1960, she married Larry M. Noel in Blackwell where she served her family as a homemaker. In 1964 they moved to Ponca City to make their home. In 1972 she worked with her husband operating the Tastee Freeze before they owned and operated H. and N. Sporting Goods in Ponca City until their retirement in 1994. She was a member of the St. Luke’s Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed shopping, but her greatest love was attending her children and grandchildren’s various sporting activities.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Noel of Ponca City; two sons, Lonnie Noel and wife Connie of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Chris Noel and wife Crystal of Ponca City; a brother, Donald Pierce and wife Susie of Stillwater; seven grandchildren, Kasey Taylor and husband Lane, Ashly Sawyers, Monica Stricklin and husband Braun, Caleb Noel and wife Kailey, Megan Noel, Joshua Noel and Matthew Noel; thirteen great grandchildren, Bryleigh, Luke, Charleigh Belle, Christian, Annalee, Kylee, Brooklyn, Beckham, Jaxon, Dexter, Kaidynce, Kaislynn and Paylie; and three nieces, Gwen Barber and husband Craig, Sarah Allen and husband Deon, and Tish Reynolds.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Robert Pierce and Ted Pierce.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 14th in the Blackwell Cemetery with Rev. David Frees of St. Luke’s Church of the Nazarene officiating. A memorial service is set for that afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Luke’s Church of the Nazarene. A reception for family and friends will be held following the service.

Honorary casketbearers will be Lane Taylor, Caleb Noel, Joshua Noel, Mathew Noel, Fred Williamson, Mel Knight, Bill Hill, Larry Harrison and Jim Brown.
