Tonkawa Police offer reward for damaged POW monument

Team Radio Marketing Group - September 7, 2017 9:15 am

Vandals have defaced the monument south of the POW Camp in Tonkawa. There are some who would rather vandalize and deface historic sites than appreciate them.

The monument recognizes Camp Tonkawa in World War II when German prisoners of war were held in Oklahoma.

The $600 reward is for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. Call the Tonkawa Police Department at (580) 628-2516. Your tips will remain confidential.

If you want to contribute to the reward, please call.
