Northern Oklahoma College wins recognition

Northern Oklahoma College was recently named a Top Ten Community College, according to WalletHub, a personal finance website.

A total of 728 community colleges, belonging to the American Association of Community Colleges, were evaluated for the list.  Northern  Oklahoma College was the only Oklahoma community college in the Top 100.

“NOC is excited to be on the list of top 10 of community colleges nationwide,” said Northern Oklahoma College President Dr. Cheryl Evans.  “This is important to us as an institution because it is external validation of what those we serve know.”

“Northern is fulfilling its mission to be affordable and accessible while providing a quality higher educational experience for our students who get super outcomes in terms of successfully transferring to four year universities or heading right to the workforce with great earning potential.  I’m proud of our faculty, staff, and  board of regents for making our mission of creating life changing experiences a priority.”

According to WalletHub, schools were evaluated bases on three dimensions including Cost & Financing, Education Outcomes, and Career Outcomes.

In individual categories, Northern Oklahoma College ranked 3rd in Highest Return on Investment.
