The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that two accidents happened Saturday in Noble County. Details on the accidents are listed below.
ACCIDENT NEAR PERRY
A personal injury collision occurred at 6:10 p.m. Saturday evening on County Road 80, one mile west of Perry in Noble County.
Doyle Lancaster, 82, of Orlando, Ok. was driving a 2000 Ford Ranger northbound on County Road 80. Lancaster lost control of the vehicle, causing it to depart the roadway to the right and overturn one time before coming to a rest on its wheels. Donna Fowler, 56, of Stillwater was the only passenger with Lancaster. Fowler was ejected approximately 5 feet from the vehicle.
Lancaster was transported to Perry Hospital by Trooper Langston #609 with non-incapacitating arm injuries. He was treated and released. Fowler was transported by Perry EMS to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was admitted In serious condition with head injuries.
The cause of the collision was listed as unsafe speed. Seat belts were equipped, but only used by the driver. While airbags were equipped, they did not deploy.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Kelle #493 of the Kay/Noble detachment of Troop K. Assisted by Trooper Langston #609 and Trooper Crompton #851 both of the Kay/Noble detachment of Troop K. Also assisted by Perry EMS and Perry Fire Department.
ACCIDENT NEAR RED ROCK
A second accident happened Saturday Evening in Noble County. This personal injury collision happened at 8:10 p.m. on State Highway 15, one-and-a-half miles east of Red Rock.
Carol Bible, 58, of Red Rock was driving a 2017 Ford Fusion westbound on State Highway 15 when a cow walked out in front of the vehicle. The vehicle struck the cow, departed roadway to the right and came to rest. Furbie Bottone, 84, of Red Rock was the only passenger in the vehicle.
Bible was transported by Perry EMS to Stillwater Hospital where she was admitted in fair condition with leg injuries. Bottone was transported by Mediflight to OU Medical in Oklahoma City. Bottone was admitted in serious condition with trunk internal and arm injuries.
The cause of the collision was listed as livestock in roadway. Seat belts were equipped and in use, and airbags did deploy.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Kelle #493 of the Kay/Noble detachment of Troop K. Assisted by Perry EMS, Red Rock Volunteer Fire Department and Mediflight.
