The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported an injury collision occurred about 2:30 p.m. Saturday on Javine Hill Road about 0.3 miles north of West Country Road, located approximately 0.3 miles north of Skiatook in Osage County.

The patrol said the accident involved a 2006 Honda X13 motorcycle driven by M. D. Collins (SIC), 59, of Skiatook, OK. Collins was transported by ambulance to Air Method in Skiatook, then to St. Johns in Tulsa in stable condition with head and leg injuries.

The Highway Patrol’s report stated Collins’ vehicle was northbound on Javine Hill, attempted to negotiate a curve, departed the roadway left, traveled down an embankment, laid the bike down, and struck a fence. A helmet was not in use. The report indicates that taking the curve too fast was the cause of the collision.
