OSDH COVID-19 report showing drop in active cases

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 1,417 new COVID-19 cases for Oklahoma on Friday, putting the state at 410,818 overall cases with 22,461 cases being active, which is 650 less than Thursday.

OSDH documented 11 new virus-related deaths on Wednesday, putting Oklahoma’s death toll to 3,959. One death being for Kay County.

Kay County saw 10 new COVID-19 cases, putting the county at 4,994 COVID-19 cases, 68 deaths and 4,673 recoveries. There are 253 active cases in the county, which is 16 less than Thursday. Data for Kay County communities is posted below:

Braman – 21 cases/0 deaths/20 recoveries

 

For new COVID-19 cases in local counties, there are 41 for Pawnee, 29 for Garfield, 28 for Washington, 15 each for Osage and Payne, eight for Logan and one for Noble. Data for local counties is posted below:

OSDH is also reporting 2,056 new recoveries for Friday, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 384,398. The number of new recoveries is greater than the number of new COVID-19 cases Friday. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.

There have been 620,746 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 173,423 completed series. The number of prime doses given is 447,323. There have also been 430,750 prime doses allocated and 291,500 boost doses allocated.
