The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting a combined total of 5,255 new COVID-19 cases for Saturday and Sunday. Sunday’s report shows that 29,539 COVID-19 cases are active.
OSDH documented 76 virus-related deaths over the weekend, putting Oklahoma’s death toll to 3,547. This includes one for Kay County.
Kay County also has 37 new COVID-19 cases since Friday, putting the county at 4,774 COVID-19 cases, 58 deaths and 4,289 recoveries. There are 427 active cases in Kay County. Data for local communities is posted below:

OSDH is also reporting 4,841 new recoveries for the weekend, putting Oklahoma’s recovery total to 356,386. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
There have been 373,279 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered in Oklahoma and that there are 58,245 completed series. The number of prime doses given is 315,034. There have also been 315,600 prime doses allocated and 195,750 boost doses allocated.
Health officials report that as of Friday, there have been 2,772,970 total negative test results, 21,620 hospitalizations and 1,357 people currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 with 387 patients in ICU..
