Bicyclist injured near Newkirk

A 30-year-old Ponca City bicyclist was injured Monday afternoon on U.S. 77 at Adobe Road, 3 miles south of Newkirk.

William Scott Marshall was transported by ambulance to Alliance Health Ponca City Hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition with arm injuries.

Marshall was northbound on his bicycle when he was struck with the right outside mirror on a 2007 Isuzu truck driven by Sherry Lynn Welch, 54, of Tonkawa. She was not injured.
