Water pressure drops for Arkansas City residents east of Walnut River

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — Arkansas City residents east of the Walnut River can expect a reduction in water pressure until at least 5 p.m. today due to repairs to the water system.

The water pressure reduction is due to needed repairs to the East Chestnut Booster Station, which pumps water across the East Chestnut Avenue bridge to the customers in the eastern part of town.

We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary maintenance might cause,” said Public Works Director Eric Broce.
