City utility rates increasing July 1

 In preparation for the new fiscal year beginning July 1, the Ponca City Board of Commissioners approved rate changes in the city’s utility billings for 2017-18.

Electric rates will increase 1 percent in all charges and rates effective with the July billings.

The Stormwater Utility charge will increase 25 cents to $3.25 for residential customers and $6.25 for commercial customers.

Solid Waste and Landfill rates will increase 2 percent on all residential, commercial and industrial solid waste.

Wastewater treatment and the industrial pretreatment program rates will increase 2 percent on July 1.

Water rates will increase 2 percent.
