YMCA hires Interim Chief Executive Officer

The Ponca City Aquatic and Family Center – YMCA has named Casey Doty as Interim Chief Executive Officer.

Doty comes to the YMCA with more than 20 years of experience in the recreation industry. Having spent 19 years with the Arkansas City Recreation Commission as the Program Director, then the Director, Doty brings extensive knowledge in the areas of fitness, aquatics, youth sports, summer programs, program development and fiscal management.

“The YMCA Board of Directors is excite about Casey Doty becoming the new Interim CEO of the YMCA of Ponca City,” said Joel Gilliland, Board President. “Casey has over 20 years of experience managing aquatic and. Recreational facilities as well as developing and overseeing associated programs. We believe that Casey will provide leadership to YMCA staff and that he has a heart for youth, families, and healthy communities. We look forward to working with Mr. Doty as we manage continued cultural and operational change to ensure that the YMCA organization, mission and vision are advanced. Although Casey is serving in an interim capacity, we see him as a great fit in Ponca City and are hopeful for a tenured relationship.”

Most recently, Doty worked with the City of Perry in the development and oversight of a newly constructed baseball complex. Upon completion, he serve as the Complex Tournament Director.

Doty has a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Administration from Oklahoma State University. He and his wife Sherri live in Arkansas City, Kansas.
