Two injured in Monday night accident

UPDATE: Both parties involved in the accident were booked into the city jail at midmorning Tuesday, Ponca City Police report.

Ponca City Police responded to an injury accident in the 2200 block of North 14th Street at 8:37 p.m. Monday. The Kay County Sheriff’s Office also responded.

Two parties involved in the accident refused transportation by Ponca City EMS at the accident site.

Monica Ochoa, 29, was arrested on a complaint of driving under suspension and a city warrant for failure to pay a fine for petit larceny.

John Goff, 27, was arrested on a city warrant for failure to pay a fine for possession of paraphernalia and a Kay County warrant for failure to pay a fine for distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

Both parties needed an ambulance after they were arrested. They were transported to the AllianceHealth Ponca City emergency room for evaluation and were released. Neither party was booked into jail.

Both vehicles were towed from the accident scene.
