Ponca City Schools honor retiring employees

Eighteen retiring Ponca City Public School employees were honored at the May Board of Education meeting. Retirees each received a clock, engraved with his or her name, and a lifetime athletic pass to Ponca City School sporting events. The district held a reception in their honor prior to the board meeting. Information about each employee is listed below.

Administrators
Chuck Bayha: 38 years in the profession, 30 with Ponca City Schools serving in various positions; currently an Assistant Principal at Ponca City High School
Tamara Chaney: 37 years in the profession, 32 with Ponca City Schools serving in various positions; currently an Assistant Principal at West Middle School

Certified Staff
Patricia Allinder: 20 years in the profession; 18 years with Ponca City Schools; currently a kindergarten teacher at Lincoln Elementary

Dr. Julie Collins: 24 years as a Spanish instructor; currently at Ponca City High School

Lonnie Gilliland: 13 years as Technology Engineering instructor at West Middle School & Cross Country coach

Alan Hibler: 30 years in the profession; 11 years with Ponca City Schools; currently teaches social studies at Ponca City High School and serves as Head Boys Basketball coach

Carla Kervin: 18 Years in the profession; 17 years with Ponca City Schools; currently serving as librarian at Woodlands & Liberty Elementary Schools

Peggy Maples: 13 Years serving as District School Nurse

Lisa Reiss: 23 years in the profession; currently a second grade teacher at Roosevelt Elementary

Mary Ann Sudbury: 36 years in the profession, 31 years with Ponca City Schools; currently a math instructor at Ponca City High School

Marcia Beguin: 34 Years as a Child Nutrition employee at various sites; currently at Liberty Elementary

Neil Lamb: 14 Years as a Maintenance Department employee; currently the District Plumber

Patricia Marlar: 18 Years serving in various positions; currently a Library Assistant at West Middle School

Connie Mullennax: 31 Years as a Child Nutrition employee at various sites; currently at Lincoln Elementary

Norma Osborn: 18 Years as Custodian employee at various sites; currently at Union Elementary

Chris Scott: 24 Years as Maintenance Department Employee

Patti Sledge: 4 Years as district Sign Interpreter

Nancy Spielbusch: 18 Years as Teaching Assistant/Paraprofessional; currently at Ponca City High School
