The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 1,373 new positive COVID-19 cases for Friday, Oct. 23. Oklahoma’s seen an overall total of 113,856 COVID-19 cases as 15,132 cases are active.
13 additional; virus-related deaths were documented for Friday to put Oklahoma’s death toll to 1,234. One being a Payne County male in the 65 or older group.
Kay County has 13 new COVID-19 cases to put the overall total to 844 cases, 16 deaths and 739 recoveries.
For new cases in local counties, there are 29 for Garfield, 20 for Payne, nine for Washington, six for Logan, four for Grant, three for Pawnee and one for Noble.

Grant County – 88 cases/1 death/66 recoveries
OSDH is also reporting 1,245 new recoveries for Friday to put Oklahoma’s recovery total to 97,490. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
Officials report that as of Wednesday, there have been 1,397,696 total negative specimen, 8,265 total hospitalizations and 956 patients are currently hospitalized.
