Contract approved for police station needs assessment

City Commissioners approved a professional contract Monday night with ADG, PC, in the amount of $61,500 plus reimbursable costs.

The company will conduct a needs assessment and provide conceptual plans for a new police station.

Police Chief Don Bohon said four proposals were submitted to developed a pricing for the facility and conceptual plans and  ADG was chosen as the most responsible proposal.

ADG also will partner with an architect who specializes in police stations, Bohon said. Through the process, ADG will do interviews with staff, look at the current facility, ask about needs and space use, and consider what options are more efficient.
