The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 1,083 new positive COVID-19 cases for Thursday, Sept. 24. Oklahoma’s seen an overall total of 81,244 COVID-19 cases as 12,456 cases are active.
An additional 11 virus-related deaths were reported for Oklahoma on Thursday to put the death toll to 981.
Kay County saw an increase of 13 new COVID-19 cases. This puts the county at 557 cases, 13 deaths and 412 recoveries. As for the active cases in the county, there are 114 for Ponca City, seven each for Blackwell and Newkirk, six for Tonkawa and one for Kaw City.
As for new cases in other local counties, there are 48 for Payne County, nine for Washington County, eight for Logan County, seven each for Noble and Osage counties, five for Grant County and three for Pawnee County. Full county stats are posted below.

OSDH is reporting 1,028 new recoveries on Thursday to put Oklahoma’s recovery total to 67,807. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.
Officials report that as of Wednesday, 1,034,165 test results have returned negative. There have been 6,057 total hospitalizations as 612 people are currently hospitalized.
