A personal injury collision occurred at 5:56 a.m. on Saturday morning on U.S. 60 and Sand Creek Road, approximately 4.5 miles south of Pawhuska in Osage County.
Melvin Ruthloff, 70, of Ponca City was driving a 2019 Harly Davidson Tricycle northbound on U.S. 60 when he struck three cows that were in the roadway.
Ruthloff was then Transported by Pawhuska EMS to Pawhuska hospital then MedEvac to St. Francis in Tulsa. He was admitted in serious condition with arm, leg, and trunk internal injuries.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Armstrong #246 of the Osage County detachment of Troop K. Assisted by Osage County Sheriff’s Office, Pawhuska Police Department, Pawhuska Fire Department, Pawhuska EMS, and MedEvac.
