OSDH reporting 1,017 new COVID-19 cases, 11 deaths and 742 new recoveries for Saturday

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 1,017 new positive COVID-19 cases for Saturday, Sept. 12. Oklahoma has seen an overall total of 68,659 COVID-19 cases with 9,635 of those cases active.

The daily report also shows 11 new virus-related deaths for Saturday as Oklahoma’s death toll is at 899. One of those deaths is from Garfield County. There are also 20 new COVID-19 cases for Garfield County to put their stats to 1,276 cases, 17 deaths and 987 recoveries.

Kay County has seven new COVID-19 cases for Saturday. This puts Kay County at 408 cases, 13 deaths and 309 recoveries. As for active cases in the county, 69 are in Ponca City, seven in Blackwell, five in Newkirk, four in Tonkawa and one in Kaw City.

For local counties, there are 52 for Payne County where Stillwater ranks seventh in the state for the community with the most COVID-19 cases(1,443 cases, 3 deaths and 1,000 recoveries). Data shows eight new cases for Washington County, five for Osage County and three each for Logan and Noble counties. Grant County dropped from 32 cases to 31 cases overall.

Logan County – 355 cases/1 death/302 recoveries

Pawnee County – 229 cases/3 deaths/213 recoveries

Noble County – 129 cases/2 deaths/104 recoveries

Grant County – 31 cases/no deaths/28 recoveries

 

New data also shows that 742 new recoveries for Oklahoma on Saturday, putting the overall recovery total to 58,125. In order for a recovery to count, the recovered patient must not be deceased or hospitalized and it has been 14 days since their report.

Officials report that as of Friday, 907,109 test results have returned negative. There have been 5,369 total hospitalizations as 509 people are currently hospitalized.
