Jack Raymond Bringham of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Thursday morning, April 6, 2017, at his home at the age of 79 years.
Jack Raymond Bringham was born on September 1, 1937, in Blackwell to Arthur Isaiah and Velma Marie (Miller) Bringham. He grew up in Blackwell and attended Blackwell Public Schools. Following his education he entered the United States Marine Corps where he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Blackwell and continued helping his father spray paint barns and round tops while also working for the Blackwell Zinc Company. Following the death of his father, Jack began his own painting business. He married Donna Lou Morrow on April 24, 1959, in Blackwell where they made their home. He continued his painting business and expanded into drywall construction. He worked for many years on homes in Kay and Osage Counties as well as Kansas. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Blackwell. He was a very active and loving father to his children and grandchildren. His family was the most important aspect of his life. His unconditional love will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife Donna Bringham of the home; three daughters, Lisa White and husband Clinton of Blackwell, Shea Erickson of Blackwell, and Jackie Engelking and husband Frank of Newkirk; three brothers, Gary Bringham of Blackwell, Walt Bringham of Ponca City and Dan Bringham of Ponca City; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren and one to be born in May.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Charles “Jim” Bringham.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 11th in the First Christian Church in Blackwell with Rev. Jeff Koch officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Jacob Engelking, Jared Engelking, Tomas Alvarez, Grant Weiland, Chad Shepherd and Dustin Bringham. Serving as honorary casketbearers will be Ed Urban, Donnie Green, Clinton White, Frank Engelking, JoDel Shepherd, Terry Bringham and Robert Smith.
