Pamela ”Joy” Villines Kassen, passed away March 31, 2017 peacefully in her sleep. She was born May 25, 1953 in Ponca City to Betty (Golliver) and Ted Bruder. She graduated from Ponca City High School in 1971. Joy married Stan Villines and to this union came two children, a daughter Kelli Dawn Waggerman and a son Kory Lee Villines.
Joy was a homemaker, worked at Conoco, and later managed a Triple T. She resided most of her life in Ponca City, briefly living in Stillwater before retiring to Ponca City. Joy married Richard Kassen on October 13, 2014. Photography, reading, gardening, interior decorating, and cooking were some of her favorite hobbies. She received a lot of satisfaction spending time with her granddaughter Madi.
Joy was always thinking of others and card giving was an expression of her kindness. She always had a soft place, in her heart, for the elderly.
As an avid OU fan she had the audacity to ”sport” Sooner attire at a job on the OSU campus. Her family loved her dearly and she will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include her husband Richard, one daughter Kelli Waggerman and husband Tony, one son Kory Villines and wife Katie, one stepson Kyle Kassen, one stepdaughter Hayley Kassen and fiancé Ben, two sisters Judy Petty and Ginger Shahrestani and husband Hashem; brother Larry Bruder and wife Linda; grandchildren Madi Edens and boyfriend Jeremy White and Felicity Villines, brother in laws Mike Kassen, Tim Kassen, Charlie Kassen and Danny Kassen; sister in laws Karen Lamier and Margret Gal and mother in law Darlene Kassen; her beloved cat Pepper, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother in law Gary Petty.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017at the Grace Memorial Chapel. Friends may leave online condolences at www.gracememorialchapel.net. The family has suggested memorials to the Charity of your choice.
