The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a personal injury collision occurred about 1:58 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of State Highway 51 and Redlands Road about 2.5 miles east of Stillwater, OK in Payne County.

The patrol said the accident involved a 2014 Dodge Truck driven by Alex J. Palmer, 24, of Mineola, TX. Palmer was not injured.

The second vehicle involved was an unpowered bicycle driven by Jeffery Scott Joiner, 55, of Stillwater, OK. Joiner was transported by Life Net Ambulance to Stillwater Medical Center, where he was admitted in stable condition with head and leg injuries.

The Highway Patrol’s report stated Palmer’s vehicle was facing southbound at the Brush Creek rd. stop sign. Joiner’s bicycle was eastbound on westbound shoulder of State Highway 51. Palmer failed to see Joiner’s bicycle. Palmer’s vehicle pulled out and struck Joiner’s bicycle. The condition of Palmer is listed as apparently normal. The cause of the collision is listed as failure to yield from a stop sign.
