David A. Richardson

(September 13, 1936 – March 18, 2017)

David A. Richardson, resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. At the age of 80.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Power House of Faith Church in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.

David was born September 13, 1936 in Seattle, Washington to Merl and Lucy Mae Richardson. David worked for Sykes in telemarketing, electrical design and computer drafting for Conoco. David loved to play music. He played the keyboard and horns for over 50 years. He also had the privilege of playing with Count Basie and his orchestra.

David was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Richardson of Ponca City, Oklahoma; sister, Arlene Washington of Sun City, Arizona; brother, Jim Richardson of Northridge, California; son, Lavell Richardson of Oceanside, California; five grandchildren; and one niece, Shelley Diaz of Phoenix, Arizona.
