The Kay County Fair Board met on Tuesday afternoon and rejected the City of Blackwell’s revisions to the planned 2020 Kay County Free Fair.
At the meeting, the Fair Board voted to cancel the 2020 fair all together. due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The idea proposed at first was to have the fair, but scaled back with limited food options and livestock shows only.
Some of the other fairs that have been cancelled include the Tulsa State Fair, Oklahoma State Fair, Kansas State Fair, Cowley County Fair and the Osage County Fair.
