Payne County sees second virus-related death, two new COVID-19 cases for Kay County

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting 510 new positive COVID-19 cases for Monday, July 13. There have been 20,745 cases since testing started, and 4,930 cases are active.

Kay County is reporting two new COVID-19 cases, putting the county’s overall total at 126 cases, 8 deaths and 99 recoveries. Ponca City has 15 active cases, two active cases for both Blackwell and Tonkawa, and one active case for Newkirk.

Payne County is reporting its second virus-related death on Monday. The individual was a male in the 65 or older group. The other death reported Monday was a Tulsa County female in the 65 or older age group. Oklahoma’s death toll is at 424.

For new cases in surrounding counties, Garfield County has four new cases, Osage County has three new cases, and Noble, Payne, Pawnee and Washington counties each have one new case.

OSDH is reporting 330 new recoveries for Monday, putting the state’s recovery total at 15,815.
