Strong winds Wednesday help fuel wildfires

Yesterday’s strong winds across Oklahoma helped to add fuel to wilfires across the state. A grass fire occurred Tuesday evening on U.S. 177 near the Kay/Noble county line. Ponca City Fire units were dispatched just before 8 p.m., and they assisted the Ranch Drive fire and Marland fire units. The fire was put under control at 8:30 p.m.

No structural damage was reported.
